Paradigma, is a high performances full range, flat response active speaker by Jad Freer Audio designed to be a top performer in both modelling amp and pa sound reproduction.

With its extremely compact an lightweight design (only 12 kg), it is capable to deliver 650 real RMS analog watts, thanks to an extremely careful study of both power supply and amplification stages.

Linear sound reproduction and optimal space propagation is guaranteed by the inclination of the baffle, a selected Ribbon Tweeter and only analog sound correction. The result is a clear, soft and faithful sound on all frequencies without any unwanted peaks and valleys, capable to recreate the feel of a stringed instrument through a tube amp.

The power stage consists in a proprietary transistor class G power module, engineered to guarantee no-compromise performances with headroom to spare, maintaining an extremely fast, detailed, dynamic and musical response, even on the bigger stages and demanding situations.

All this thanks to the use of well-engineered custom components much superior in specs and performances to the off-the-shelf available ones.

The cabinet is equipped with two different and independent stereo channels with 4 band analog active: one inspired by the classic mixer channel strip and the other tailored to mimic a guitar amp classic tone stack, both flat at 12’o clock. This allows the user manage all his listening necessities on stage such like: one channel for the of the modelling amplifier and the other for the control room AUX mix, or an acoustic guitar in one channel and vocals in the other one, etc.

A HPF filter allows to control low-end resonance with acoustic instruments.

The core of the power stage is a heavily oversized proprietary switching power supply and a carefully designed heat dissipation system. This power supply can deliver high amounts of current much faster than a traditional transformer-based one, and is the key to reduce significantly overall weight and dimensions with no sound compromise, while the heat dissipation system manages to keep high temperatures under control.

Another great benefit of a well filtered and engineered switching power supply is that it doesn’t generate magnetic fields in the audible bandwidth, unlike the old toroidal PSU that suffer a lot of 50 / 60Hz hum. This allows Paradigma to perform with no audible interferences with other devices or pickups, even single coil ones.

In aid of the proprietary heatsink, an intelligent forced ventilations section has been engineered, that, following the signal dynamics, allows the power section to work flawlessly in safety, never getting hot and performing dead silent at low volumes or in studio applications.
